Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families

The Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families is a national leader in promoting the development and well-being of children, youth and families. The Center advocates for a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to research, training, and outreach that has far-reaching consequences for Oregon and beyond. Your support is integral for applied research experiences and student internships. With your help, we can generate, translate and share research-based knowledge that improves the health and well-being of children and families. Our four core research areas are:

Early Childhood Core - focuses on optimizing children's development and well-being in their families, in early care and educational settings, and in their communities.

Youth and Young Adults Core - empowers youth to strengthen their development, supports behaviors and settings that promotes their resilience, and reduces vulnerability for a successful transition to adulthood.

Healthy Eating & Active Living Core - targets physical activity and healthy eating behaviors, environments, and policies to ensure all children and families are able to eat healthfully and be physically active.

Parenting and Family Life Core - examines healthy parenting and family life as a strong foundation for child and youth development, and healthy communities as a solid foundation for families.

Your support will strengthen our impact as we look forward to our 15 year anniversary in 2026.
